I had been wanting to visit famous Thailand for a long time, and I finally had the opportunity because I found a very good flight ticket. It was truly incredible: a direct flight from Prague to Krabi. I never expected that. The flight took only about ten to twelve hours, which was really pleasant, and the price was surprisingly affordable. I was very lucky to find this last-minute ticket. I was well prepared and already had a rough plan at home of which places I wanted to visit.

Of course I first had to adjust to the new time zone. Honestly, the first two to three days were quite exhausting until I fully adapted. During that time I explored Krabi and also some interesting places in the area, for example the Tiger Cave Temple. I had to climb many hours on foot to get there, but in the end I was rewarded with a breathtaking view.
During the climb, a group of monkeys accompanied me and other tourists. They looked cute but could also be dangerous. I had no problems with them myself, but it often happens that they steal things from people, such as water bottles. So you need to be careful.

After Krabi I continued to Ao Nang, where I spent a lot of time on the beach and took several boat trips. Particularly impressive was the trip to the Koh Hong Islands. There I could climb to a viewpoint and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. The nature was simply breathtaking. During this boat tour we snorkeled a lot, visited different beaches, and enjoyed the time at sea.

From Ao Nang I continued to the Phi Phi Islands, where I spent two nights. The Phi Phi Islands are perfect if you want to visit the famous Maya Bay beach. I spent about two hours there in total, and at one moment the beach was not even overcrowded.
Of course we also enjoyed snorkeling and the fascinating underwater world. The conditions for that were truly excellent. We also experienced beautiful sunsets.

After the Phi Phi Islands I took the ferry on to Koh Lanta. There I rented a scooter to explore the island better. I visited almost all the interesting places on the island and enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere.
The highlight of my time on Koh Lanta was visiting the Following Giants Koh Lanta Ethical Elephant Sanctuary, where I could see many elephants up close. This experience was something truly special for me.
Overall I felt very comfortable on Koh Lanta. The nature was breathtaking, I took several boat trips, enjoyed life beneath the surface while snorkeling, and covered many kilometers by scooter. Unfortunately time passed much too quickly and I had to return to Krabi to then fly back to Central Europe.
